Artist of the Month (November Double Feature)

Ok, so it’s been as while since I’ve done a feature on here and I thought to make up for the absence I would do a double feature this month, compiling a collection of artwork by artists who have inspired or caught my attention over the past few months.

So without further adieu I’ll start.

The first artist I am featuring this month is an artist who instantly caught my attention when I saw his phenomenal TARDIS Cross Section while searching for reference pictures for my own designs. Promus-Kaa :iconpromus-kaa: is a very talented Steampunk/Sci-Fi artist who has inspired a lot of my own designs for the TARDIS and someone I think every Doctor Who/Sci-fi who would definitely check out! Here are some of my favourite pieces below:

The second artist is of a genre I usually wouldn’t feature because it’s so hard to really find a photo-manipulation artist who REALLY stands out, but Seduff-Stuff :iconseduff-stuff: is definitely one of the rare view. Being a big Rose/ Doctor shipper, I was absolutely besotted by her manips which you can see below, but Seduff’s true talent lies in video editing! I have included links to some of her videos which are just amazing, in particular her ‘My Immortal’ Rose/Doctor fan video which actually reduced me to tears! I kid you not!! So definitely check her out- you will not be disappointed!

What can I say about myself? Hmm... I'm a 21 year old Irish Gal with a love for all things artistic; be that artwork, music, theater - all of which I have dabbled in in my time. I am a currently a member of my local Youth Theater where I have done a few amateur plays. My biggest passion however is music and while I cannot play anything I like to think I have something of a good voice (mezzo-soprano). As far as my taste in music goes, I love a little bit of everything but my general tastes lie in genres of Opera, Classical, Symphonic Metal and Rock. I'm also an avid Phantom of the Opera and Doctor Who fan! :D

In my spare time I love to roleplay and I am the head administrator of small, virtually unknown roleplay group; The Forgotten Tales. XD My passions tend to also deviate toward the Regency and Victorian periods as can be seen in my art and the few drabbles I have written!

Halloweeen!

So Halloween is probably one of my all-time favourite times of the year and this year was no exception though admittedly I noticed a lack of effort on the parts of my neighbours and what have you to actually rise to the occasion! My Halloween however was a barrell of laughs!

It began on Thursday night with the Irish Wheelchair Association event which me and my best friends always attend every year! This year we went with a sort of sci-fiction/nerdy theme with Doctor Who meets the DC-Universe! I went (as can been seen in my pictures) as The Tenth Doctor, with my friend :iconsearingdestiny: as The Eighth Doctor! :iconlacrymosa-fairy: went as Harley Quinn with :iconfurious-p: as The Penguin (looking quite creepy I might add).:iconlacrymosa-fairy: actually won first pirze for like the fourth year running XD - She's starting to become a reigning champion now which is, you have to admit, bloomin' brilliant! I personally has great fun as The Doctor (even though, sadly, not many people could work out who I was... daft lot).

Halloween night itself however was a bit of a let down... Though everyone in my area was dressed up, more than half of them had closed their curtains, turned out the lights and refused to answer the door, the bonfire was burnt out before 9PM after only being lit an hour beforehand.. AND generally it was sort of wet BUT despite this all the fun was to be had in my house!!! XD - :iconlacrymosa-fairy: came over dressed as her character Brad from our roleplays and I reprised my role as The Doctor, the two of us running about with our sonic screwdrivers like the big kids we are! Then the drinking ensued and I dont think they left until like 2AM which was very fun! So all in all a great Halloween... but don't think this is the last we will see of my Doctor costume....
